PDP chieftain allegedly received N100M from Dasuki in alleged arms deal fraud

According to reports, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Bode George is allegedly one of the persons who benefited from the alleged $2 billion arms deal fraud for which former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki has been accused.

This was disclosed by a source at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), according to Sahara Reporters.

The source also reportedly linked former Rivers State Governor,Peter Odili to the alleged fraud.

The source is further said to have stated that Odili and George “may soon be invited to explain why they received N100 million each from funds budgeted for arms purchase.”

Dasuki was arrested by the Department of State Services(DSS) on December 1, 2015 and handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday, December 2.

According to a report by The Nation, the former NSA has linked a number of persons to the alleged fraud including former governors, ex-ministers and PDP chieftains.

President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered the arrest of Dasuki and others indicted in the alleged fraud after receiving a report submitted by a panel instituted by him to probe Nigeria’s arms purchases from 2007-2015.
